I need help figuring out if a wheel/tire combo will fit on my '07 SE-R Spec V. I have gotten different answers from different performance shops so if anyone has or knows anyone who has expertise in wheel and fitment please help me out. I want to put on Axis Hiro 18"X8.5" wheels with 225/40/18 Nitto NT555 tires. Stock wheels on '07 Spec V are 17"X7" with a 225/45/17 tire. I know it is going to be close with the width fit, some people have told me with a 45mm offset I'd be ok and others said I may need to roll the fender reguardless, which i don't want to do. The folks at Axis customer service said they haven't tested the fitment on my car yet, so I'm tossed up with what to do. I really like the look of that wheel and the next best option is the Axis Reverb which looks kind of similar, but is only 7.5" wide and I would like at least 8" width. Any advice or answers would be helpful. Thanks.

50mm on the stock. I just found out that the 18" Hiro is only offered in a 35mm offset. That application will push the inside rim 4mm closer to the strut housing, which shouldn't cause an issue, but it pushes the outside rim out another 34mm which I think might be out past the fender, extremely close at least. How can i measure how much clearance i have between the outside rim of the stock wheel and the fender as it is right now to see how close it will be?
