friend bought a 93 180sx with an 97 typeX motor, was just sitting in there.

i hooked everything up correct.. but then it came to this part ....

its a j4 ecu and the wiring is from the TypeX engine... but the connector to the dash wiring and s*** are different.

whats a good what to go without stripping the whole car to replace the wiring?or is there a harness made for this conversion?

thats just a sr swap from a ka or something, mines a sr red top with typex engine.

dont worry im just going to buy some wire tapper things and cut off a plug out of a red top wiring hardness and tap them together

I just realized what you said. I was thinking you were trying to be cool and call your 240sx a 180sx cause it's a hatch.

But that sentence makes no sense, you're talking about 2 different engines. But either way good luck then.

WTF is the difference? the type x came with an S13 blacktop, not sure why the wiring would be different, i have a blacktop in my car and it was the same as when i helped my freinds swap redtops into their cars.

if the dash connector and the connector off the ECU dont fit together do what everyone else does when they SR swap a KA car, grab the plug comming off the ECU from your old harness and swap it out with the connector that doesnt fit problem solved, this $hit aint hard

I had a type x motor in my car. It's not a big deal. There is another brown clip that is hidden. Keep looking around where the ecu goes. When you find it just match up the wires and solder what you need to the clips that work.

actually they are different its a little weird and the s13 type x swap even has s14 connectors but i would take the dash plug from your old harness. But here are some notes that someone sent me who did the swap and also i used the frsport how to.

I'm thinking the OP is alil in over his head. Cause he seems to be confused and unsure what he's doing.

I would imagine you cut the plug off of a KA harness and match the colors just like every other swap. If you can't find a KA plug just solder them together. A little bit of research would help you a lot.

Better yet get the proper plug and de-pin it and match the colors and re-pin, no cutting, no soldering.
