I think that I have let my pilot bushing go for too long.It has been making lots of noise ,kind of a whirring sound. It is really noticeable in reverse when i take my foot off the gas.I am just concerned about the transmission fluid that has started dripping from the front.Does this mean that the front seal has gone bad from this.If so, how likely is it that I have caused major damage to the transmission?

If you think your pilot bearing is beat, it's time to pull the trans, replace the bearing, and find out why there is trans fluid leaking.
