I am looking for some tires in 245/45/16 that have a sporty tread/design, but also handle well in the rain. I have looked at the Dunlop Sport 9000's but they are like $170 a piece, which is too much. So what do you guys reccomend for some good wet traction and dry performance. Thanks in advance.Josh

I have had Michelin Pilot Sport and currently have Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. AWESOME wet or dry but not free. Just say no to Nitto! They suck in the rain.

OK so they aren't big name tires but the reviews on them are outstanding. Give it a whirl, they're only $80 less than half of the Dunlops. Be the first and let us know how they perform

I went to tirerack.com but I don't know where to get them installed. If you buy them from tirerack then you have to get them installed somewhere else. Then it costs more. I have looked at the Pilot Sports and I am considering them. Thanks. Any more suggestions?Josh

Mounting and balancing at local shop equals about $50 to $60. Average thatwith the $90 per tire savings you're getting over the Dunlaps and you're still ahead. If you wanna buy else where ( meaning local and not over the internet ) prepare to grab your ankles and take some tylonol w/ codine cause it's gonna hurt.

http://www.ntb.com/storeSearch.do http://www.mapquest.com/maps/m...code=Stop being lazy, I called NTB from NY just a second ago and it will be $14.00 per tire to maount and balance including tire disposal fee. So lets see, $14.00 times 4 = $56 plus the cost of tires from tire rack $80 times 4=$320 plus $38.40 for the road hazard protection comes to a grand total of = $406.80 plus 42.04 shipping = $448.84Your other tires were what? $170 a piecewhich would be $724.04 to get them to your door and another $56 for mounting and oh yeah, no road hazard warranty. stop being lazy and do a little searching, i found all of this out in 10 minutes, you could do the same. Good luck

Get some Falken Ziex 512's from Tires Plus. I just recently put a set on my car and they are nice and sticky. They have great wet traction too. We've had rain for the past freakin' week here and they handle puddles like they are nothing. They look really good, especially w/ the tread going up onto the sidewall. I'll get a pic when I get home.

I love the dunlop sport fm901's, they do ok in rain, not the greatest tho. Toyo proxes FZ4 were good in the wet tho, grip fairly well in dry i guess.
