need help with this plug!!!

ok guys i have this plug and i need to know which cable is the speed sensor. did the rb swap and im trying to get the speedo to work.

Try one of the following.

1.) Check the 5spd swap how-to thread.. I think Bart outlined which wires are which in there.

2.) Try posting in the RB forum

3.) Wait til this evening.. .when I get home from work, I'll take a look at how mine is wired up and let you know.

he didn't say what each wire did but only which one's are fro the top.

Eikon did you use the rb lower harness or did you use the KA one?

That plug doesn't have the speed sensor on it. It's only for the AT's inhibitor switch, which tells the ATCU what gear the trans is in.

The speed sensor is a seperate wire in the AT's lower harness, so all you do is pull it out, and it has a plug that plugs into the engine lower harness (E211 if you have an FSM)

Now, i'm not certain on RB swaps, but I think the KA speed sensor will bolt in.

yes in the rb20 transmission you can use the ka speed sensor but it the 25's and 26's you need to use the rb one because they are 2 inches longer. i found where the speed sensor gose's but i think the hud unit i got is broken i still get nothing.

Got it the freaking thing is broken. i got another one from a friend put it in the car and it works. damm thing went bad.

the only part that sucks is that it reads in KMPH. but ohwell atleast i know the wiring is right..

Did you turn the knob on the HUD, that changes it from KM to MPH.

the ones from japan only read in Km/h and you cant swicth

can you get a USDM hud? That sounds like the only way to get you MPH readings

i'm sure i can use a usdm one but the two that i tried out did not work.
