A few days ago I bought a fully loaded 2013 Nissan Altima 3.5 SL. It is amazing but whenever I go more than 5 mph over the speed limit, it double beeps. Looked in the manual and through all the settings and could not find anything about it. It isn't a problem on main roads, as I follow the speed limit but on the highway everyone speeds because in Chicago the speed limit is only 50 on highways. Does anyone have any information on how to silence this feature(annoyance)?

I've experienced the speed warnings. 2 beep sequence. The 'you are over the limit' warning.
There's also a different beep to alert about speed limit change. Kinda neat.
I do know you can turn off some tech features with a button to left of steering column. The lane departure warning.
Maybe turning that off will also turn off the speed limit warning. ?
I've also experienced a 3 beep sequence when passing a highway entrance.
I find them useful .
