I was thinking of installing a CA in my 93 240, because my KA that came with the car ended up being locked up. So I have a few questions which I hope have not been answered before, but I am sorry if they have.

1. What will be needed when I install my CA? I am talking about the minimum because I will do the rest when I get up a little more money.

2. Will I be able to do this by myself? I am new to turbos, but not engines in general. I do have all the tools I will need thanks to an uncle, but can I do this?

That is about it. I do not want an SR because it is played out and the CA is around the output I am looking for because this will be a daily driver and I just want something fun. This would be perfect and a much cheaper alternative to some other things. Thank you all for your time. I will really be happy if you guys can help me soon as I have to make my final decision this weekend.

It was by far not complicated, unbolt everything ka, install CA, it's that straight forward. I would replace all necessary parts, such as- water pump, timing belt, etc... New motor mounts, spark plugs, Send your KA wire harness somewhere to get it wired correctly, and thats about it.... Common sense stuff, new hoses, change oil etc... I did my complete swap with a little more than my Craftsman 150pc tool set

Well that is a problem I don't have the engine harness for the KA, but I wonder if WiringSpecialties can take care of that for me.

Also is there a write-up somewhere on how to put one in. I want to do it right the first time and not mess up anything.

There is one more thing. I found a water pump off ebay for a decent price, but in the writeup it says that if I use a CA18DE water pump I need the pulley, too. Where can I find one? I can't seem to find that. Once I do I can start ordering parts because I just priced everything out and I can do it within my budget because my labor is FREE!
