Need help with the AC button

Hey...my ac button led doesn't light up when pressed and the compressor doesn't kick on. when I short the relay and and the compressor does engage, no cold air come out. Sounds like I have a recharge issue but my question is could it be the climate control box , relay, or compressor? Before this, the ac led light would go out and back on again, also when the ac did work the last week, it sometimes wouldnt blow cold air and sometimes it would.any thoughts?

Sounds like a charge issue, When you jumpered the A/C compressor and it came on you should have gotten cold air.

Sounds like it. If the switch doesnt come on or fire the compressor I guess the climate control box is shot...?

If the charge in your system is to low it will not "fire the compressor" You are low on freon.
