I would think yes, take it to a machine shop and have them inspect it...is there a problem with the current bearings? or do you want them to check the condition?

If its in good shape and mics out to be ok, just have them polish it. Then when installing it plastigage your clearances to make sure your within spec and your good to go.

As someone who has dealt with a ton of cranks, I can tell the quality of a crank when I buy one. However, there is nothing wrong with having a shop check it for you.

As for bearings, so long as no machining is required, you can match up the numbers on your crank to the numbers of your block/rods and order bearings from Nissan.

I would definitely have a machine shop lok at it. Most likely it will at least need to be polished. But it sounds like it's the block that needs to be checked more accurately, since it was the one that had the bearing spin.
