Alright guys, I can't seem to get my car to run properly with the safc. I have the usual combo, safc, z32, 550s. Now If I have the safc unplugged the car will start but won't idle unless I stay on the gas. It runs at about 10.4:1 AFR but thats expected without any correction for 550's and a z32. Now when I plug the safc in the car will hardly run at all since it is so bloody rich (About 9.0:1 AFR)

I could swear I had all the safc setting setup properly but I guess not? anyways this is what I have for settings, if anyone has any pointers i'd really apprecita it.

- 4 cyl. with arrow pointing to uper right corner.

- sensor type, hotwire with 2in6out under "sensor no." under the following screen "sensor cal." I just left the 1in 1out???

- lo throttle map 10% hi throttle 50%

and for my lo and hi maps I have everything corrected to between -30 and -35% but it still runs rich beyond relief.

Those numbers are right. First thing you should do is check your ECU for codes. Chances are you threw one, particularily a MAFS code.

No there was no codes. I took my MAF out and tested it by hooking it up to a battery charger. It was gettting a constant 2.5 volts and wouldn't change when I blew through so I flipped my wiring around and it worked, Read like 0.4volts and when I blew through it it went up.

I rewired it to my harness hooked it up to my intake, fired the car up and wow, what a difference, it ran beautifully. 12.3AFR at idle. Shut it off went to eat and came back outside ready to take it for a spin and bleed my cooling system, fired it up and crappy just like before, won't idle and runs very very rich. The weird thing now is when I unplug the MAF the car will hardly idle at all/

Hey, oh man, that is exactly the same problem I had this weekend! I have a tuned rom chip for 550cc and z32 come in,but I have msd 50lb injectors (a litttle less cc) Z32 and super afc2, It runs horrible ! way to rich at idle on wideband, way to lean or stupid rich trying to change the in and out numbers on super afc2. it ran good before change stock mafs injectors, I was going to fine tune the 50lb to the tuned ecu ,and cannot find correct numbers in and out . The book numbers in manuel would not work. it is frustrating. :(

any help on what numbers to use that you guys with SR20det tuned ecu for 550cc 's , aZ32 mafs and use super afc, I have msd 50lbs injectors and I don't know if that matters, please respond to help out if you know.

thanks mike
