I have been gifted a S15 front clip sitting out in Asia. What are the most important aspects to keep in mind for this swap?? The car is a 1995 240sx SE 5spd. (S14 body) non-abs????

Also I am planning to use the 6 speed transmission, can anyone shed some light as to what I need to know for this transmission swap??-drive shaft?? (I'll probably need a custom one?)-speed sensor?? (I believe the KA SS is in the transmission while the S15's is in the rear diff??) I'd like my speedometer to work...-rear diff?? (I have a Nismo 2way already, but will i need the helical to make it work? -gear ratios ??? (S14 manual diff w/ S15 trans...)

I may be able to get the S15 rear subframe, drive shaft, and diff...but just incase I couldn't will I need them??

Also, I guess this could be argued...my 95 SE appears not to have ABS and a viscous. I think its just an open diff; but I do have the 5 lug. So my question is will I be able to use the S15 stock brakes???

Also, what are the main differences between the S15 SR and other SR's? Just as a precaution so nobody can try to pull a quick one and swap out some parts...turbo, injectors, manifold?, others...???

Regarding the engine swap...anyone info will be greatly appreciated.

Just an update...I have found a couple of sources claiming that the S13/S14 speed sensor is in the transmission while the S15 ss is in the rear diff. Still trying to confirm gear ratios and final drive numbers....

Also Im looking more into the ABS rear diff as well.

Heard somewhere that the abs S14 diff: final drive is closer to 4.0XX while the S15 6speed is 3.6XX....someone correct me if I'm wrong...What are the S14 non-abs numbers???

Also the issue concerning which box is stronger are mostly subjective opinions.

I am planning for a S14 5-speed just in case...experts please share some insights....

Final drive ratio coming out of the trans should be different as 6th gear shouldn't be the same as a 5-speed's 5th gear. Either or, you have to get a converter for the speed sensor. I can't remember who makes one, but you can email the guys at Heavy Throttle. They should know.

Since the speed sensor takes incoming revolutions from the input shaft, you can change your rear diff with no hassle. But to maintain original ratios, you should reuse the S15 final drive.

Last S15 front clip I saw came with the diff, but no subframe. If someone is trying to sell you a front clip with no diff in it, tell them they have no sale until there's a diff. There's no point in paying that much money to be missing something so vital.

As far as differences and swap procedures, I'm just gonna tell you to search. Also, check out the SR FAQ in the RWD SR section.
