need help with s13 headlight switch

not sure if anyone on here has gotten into this but i'll post it on a few forums and see what info i can gather. heres the story.

i have my whole engine bay body harness tucked under the dash, to make it smaller i cut out liek 5 feet of all the wires and joined them back together, tested it all and everything worked fine. i then decided that im not going to be using the popup motors on the headlights so i went and removed all the H/L relays but before doing so i should have consulted the FSM. what im seeing now is that there must have been a 12v power source from one of them that ran to the headlight switch, my problem now is on the on position for the headlights im not geting any power to the lights, all positon lights do work, brake, tails, marker, all turn signals work, there just seems to be no power going to the headlights on high or lo beam. i temp wired in a switch with 12v to the headlights for now so they work but this is bothering me like crazy so im hoping someone can help out i lookeda t the FSM but its just so confusing and it also dosen;t show what pin on the headlight switch connector near the steering wheel is what. if anyone cares to help out with this it would be appreciated!! thanks
