Need help with ?s about a '94 Sentra

Alright so here's the deal, I have owned, worked on & up-graded a 97 Pathy for about the last 8 years (in fact you ca find me on any number of Nissan 4x4 forums), but my wife has a '94 POS Nissan Sentra (I am not saying Sentras are a POS, just this particular one) & I have a couple of questions about.

First off let me say that it was purchased 7 years ago for all of $500 & hasn't seen much more money than that put into it, with the exception of gas & regular oil changes, since then. It used to be what I guess was a dark green paint but has since faded to God knows what, is missing 2 hub caps, has rust starting to form in the bottom rear corner panels (Both sides), the driver's side door does not shut completely (so we had to disable the buzzer) because her grandmother backed into it... twice & once on the other side, the head liner is falling down, most of the upholstery was shot to **** when she bought it, it's not firing on all cylinders & oh yes, it dies on left turns (whether you are moving through the stop or coming to a complete stop it doesn't matter it dies) at which time you have to through it in neutral (its an auto too), turn the ignition & restart it.

When she finally graduates college here in about a year she wants to buy some sort of big SUV or big a$$ truck & seeing that the Sentra wasn't quite worth a damn to begin with I decided that I might turn it into a project of mine (I've never done the import sports car thing). The couple of questions I have are:

1.) How big of an engine can I put in without having to push the firewall back & things like that? Please don't tell me just engine codes (I am sure that you know them but I don't so for my sake just dumb it down for me until I get the lingo, thanks), I'd like to know from what vehicles I can kind them in (models & years are very helpful seeing I will probably go to the junk yards)

2.) If I can upgrade to say a decent V6 what manual transmission should/could I go with (once again guys dumb it down for me-codes, models & years)

3.) What kind of horsepower can I expect out of doing this, realistically?

Thanks in advanced guys, cause I don't know squat about import cars ... now 4x4's (domestic or imports) that’s a different subject.

1/2)You could get a V6 from a Maxima or Altima in there. It's been done in 00-06 Sentras and would probably be easier in an older one.

3) As much as you care to mod the 6. It also depends on which one you use. If you managed to get a modern 3.5 in there you could expect 300hp (crank) with bolt-ons.

you def can get a v6 max motor in there just goin to have to make a lot of custom stuff to make it really work, anythings posible
