Even though i considered a body kit for a while, i am a diehard OEM guy and i thought that a kit would accent the 240, but becuase of my stubborn-non rice ways, i have decided to go without. here is my question though: I want a nice sized rim to fill the wheel gap and at the same time with the ground control coilover set up, i want to be able to slam it pretty well to give it an aggresive look as well. Of course i am focusing on handling but i also like them when then are lowered well. So what size rim would be proportional for the s13 without a body kit. I want it to look as smooth as possible. I have some 15" ENKEI'S from my civic i could use but i wanted to get some feedback first. thanks

Well, I'm an avid rice boy .

In my opinion, for the sleek look, you want rims that are bigger than 15" since they will show more rim, less tire.

Minimum if you want it relatively flush w/ ok gap and more rim than tire, go 17" Rims.

I have 17" Rims w/ 205/40 setup, which is the Honda style. Looks low-pro.

It's ok for now, still a big gap (using kyb agx + sportlines).

However, if you want to really fill the gap, remember there is left and right gap, not just up and down, you may want to try some 18" rims. That will look really nice and fill out the gaps. They may technically slow you down since they're so big and a lil heavier, but that's what 2.4L engines are for, hehe.

That is lowered w/ 17" tires. Notice the still huge gap.

that sucks. 18s are too big for any racing/drag car in my opinion unless they are super lite. Anyone else?

the offset would be wrong if you're running coilovers with the honda wheels. 17x7s all around or 17x7 up front and 17x8 in the back with a 35mm offset all around... the offset will fill in the fender gap between the side of the tire and fender lip and you will clear you coliover set up. very few wheels with this offset and size. 5zigen's fn01r-c are made in the correct set up and super lightweight. as for tires I suggest 215/40 on the 17x7s. a pic with these on a s13 is on the 5zigen website... it was on there but I can't acces the gallery right now so I couldn't tell you if its on there still. very clean wheels not too ricey.

er... if changing wheels changes the wheel-well gap, then you put the wrong size tires on... If the outer circumfrence of a wheel/tire is different than stock, your speedometer will read incorrectly.

er... they sell the gears to change the speedomoter reading on courtesy nissans website under nissan motorsports. if you're not quick enough to do the percentage difference in speed while driving.
