im replacing the rear inner and outer tierods as well as the outer tierod bushing..

normal i believe these are pressed in. now i would just torch it out of there but i dont have one. Ive taken the 17mm and 14mm bolts off the front and back end of the outer tierod. ive used a fork to break the tierod from the balljoint. then ive tried whaling on the ball joint stud to get the bushing to come out but its not moving. any tips on removing this? nissan service manual said there was some kind of locking device but i cannot seem to find a lock ring in there anywhere.. help!?

I think the proble might be what you are callign the parts, the outter tie rods attach to the knuckle, not to a balljoint and have no bushing, if you are replacing bushings there are upper and lower control arms as wella s a traction arm all of which use bushings, and the lower control arms have balljoints ont he hub side that bolt to the hub, so what exactly are you doing so we can figure out what parts are posing the problems
