Okay, think I bit off a little more than I can chew here...I have a set of R34 Skyline taillights on the way. My bright idea was that I thought those taillights would look real sweet on my '93 300ZX; now reality has set in and I'm trying to figure out how to make this work.

What I would like to do is A) install the new taillights and also B) fabricate a custom rear panel taillight cover out of carbon fiber.

However, I'm not sure exactly what I will need (if anything) to install the lights and I also need help figuring out how to put on the custom rear panels....basically, all I want visible on the rear of the car is four circular lights surrounded by a rectangular strip of carbon fiber.

Any help or links would be great! Thanks ahead of time...

It would probably be significantly easier to fit up the R32 tail lights to the Z32 if you're looking to do a conversion. R34 tails are much taller and will make fitment and fabrication quite a handful.

time for cutting welding and body custome body work, nothing easy about it, if you don't got the skills it's gonna cost you $$

Yep, it looks like you may be right......the taillights just arrived today and although I didn't actually try to fit it in, I held it up to the car and I think I might need about another inch or so of clearance so that the hatch doesn't smash down on the lights....this should be a fun project ...

Any members from southcentral Pa or Maryland know a good shop to consult?

I'd love to post pics but I still haven't figured out how on this forum yet; can anyone let me know how?

I'm putting on the R34 lights because I love their look. I think they would look great on a Z. Plus it would stand out from the crowd a bit; originality is important to me...to me, it's a lot like slapping on a wild custom body kit- some will love it, some will hate it. Either way, you can show off your creative side.

Theres a company that makes aftermarket tails for the Z32 that look like R32 taillights...IMO I'd keep the tails the same or at least go with the newer J-spec ones.

Nevermind, guys. I just bought a pair of Ferrari style tail lights that were made to fit the Z.

So, anybody want to buy a set of R34 Skyline tail lights?
