NEED HELP with pwer antenna

1995 nissan 240 sx

i just bought a new head unit, a clarion db345mp to b exact. well i just finished hooking everything together and now when ever i turn on the cd payer my antenna goes up even when i have a cd in. right now im thinking i mixed one of the wires wrong but i cant seem to figure out which one... i know its the power antenna wire but i dont know where else to hook it up to.... eeeh i guess i hafta put up with it for now until some 1 can help me figure it out or i might just hafta take it in....

because the wire that makes the antenna go up, the signal wire, comes on whenever the headunit is on. just put a switch in the wire, so you can kill the antenna when you have a cd playing.that's what I did.

yeh i was thinking about putting a switch to it , but i was hoping for another way cuz i dont wanna drill throgh my carbon trim...any other suggestions

Your only other option is to get an Alpine, Kenwood, Eclipse, etc... brand/ model that has both a remote amp turn on lead, as well as an antenna turn on lead. It seems your Clarion lacks this separation in the turn on circuitry. You don't have to mount the switch in the console. Put it in kickpanel or out of sight somewher like the glovebox. You can make the wires that go to the switch and up to the dash harness as long as you need to.
