Current setup - S13 w/ redtop. Non-HICAS.

I'm using a HICAS ps pump that came on my clip. The pump has 2 pressure outlets, so I capped one and used the other. I just tried it out tonight and the pump, lines, and resivour get extremely hot. I'm guessing capping the one outlet is no good.

I have a KA24DE pump & res that I bought, but the pump doesnt bolt to the bracket on the SR20. Will the bracket off a KA24DE bolt to the SR20 and allow me to use the KA pump ?

Thanks.

You can take apart the pump somehow and remove the vanes for the hicas section of the pump then cap the lines, you might be able to find some info on the boards here or maybe google it up or somethin.

google is king

The following is the direction to convert the HICAS to non-HICAS ps pump.

1st take the 4 bolts on the end off.

2nd carefully pull the end off it will come apart in layers don't let the layer come apart.

3rd after the end cap is off there is some little square thing called veins in the end the make the fluid circulate. take a magnetic pick up and pull all them out should be about 14 i think.

4th put the cap back on the end very lighty snug the bolts but use lock tite. make sure the pulley rotates very easiely.

5th chop the top off the banjo bolt and weld a cap on it. snug it down and your done

Or you can adapt the stock ka-de pump right onto the sr's bracketI didnt get a sr pump with my motor and had to fab up a little bracket for the tension part. Oh yeah thats a ka pump pulley flipped around and in the SR application its actualy underdrive

My SR20DET came with the pump on it. It was non-hicas. I guess incase someone is searching....

You can just take the bracket and pulley off of the SR20DET pump and mount it on the KA24DE pump.

I have a 92 coupe.
