Searched and couldnt find anything i havent already done.
I have a 1995 240sx NON-SE with about 140k miles on it and ive only owned it for about 8 months and its been in Colorado Springs for at least 2 years.
Car randomly started overheating one day so i decided since this happened to my last 240 its prob a thermostat issue.
Changed that and still had the issue so i changed the water pump just in case. Same issue.
Changed oil and nothing strange in it just old. I went to "prime" or what i thought it would be by kicking the engine over but not letting it start and for some reason my fuel filter exploded and now was leaking gas out the top of it so i also changed that.
STILL had same issue and a new one has surfaced. Engine now sputtered at low revs. Figured it was the spark plugs. Check them and got to cylinder #2 and the spark plug hole was FILLED with old oil. I assume it might have leaked in there from the last person who changed the oil on the car. So i check the rest, nothing special with any of the spark plugs them selves. Engine no longer sputters but still over heats.
Read online about bleeding the system so i did that. Seems to overheat slower but still goes above the H within a minute of driving it hard.
Radiator was the old plastic stock one so i decided thats my next logical step was to replace it, so i changed it to a ebay special all aluminum one and tried to flush the whole system white a power washer.
Refilled coolant and re bleed it and still have the exact same issue...
BTW it does blow hot air through the heater and engine runs great with no white smoke out of the tail pipe...
Anyone have any idea?
Hope i included everything.
Thanks in advance.
