Ok looks like I was a bit twisted when I typed this.badbob2121 wrote:I cant even understand what the hell your asking....
It might help if you listed what management software your using.
I think your asking that if you unplug your battery, will your standalone loose its tune? No
I'm using a a'me wide band what is a unsafe levelkouki munster wrote:What ^ he said, give us a little more info on what you are using to tune with. I will say that any stand alone, tuned stock ecu, or piggy back system will not loose its maps if you unhook the battery.
However if it is a tuned stock ecu, and depending on how long the battery was disconnected, it will loose the fuel/ignition trim tables that the ecu learns and builds on its own over time. It may take it a little bit to relearn and rebuild the fuel and ignition trim tables, so you need to drive it(don't be gentle) and keep an eye on your wideband 02 readings to make sure they don't get to an unsafe level.
Hahaha reallybadbob2121 wrote:See thats the first problem, you dont even have a REAL tune.... lol
Sell that AFC and contact Jim Wolf Technology about your next ROM tune. Enthalpy does good work as well...
Lol that's my plain next paycheck I'll be getting a real tunekouki munster wrote:Under wot (wide open throttle) anything leaner(higher number) than a 11.8-12 should give cause for concern, anything richer(lower number) than 10.5-10.8 will start to wash the oil off the cylinder walls, and richer than 10.5 and it will probably start to miss.
Rs enthalpy is a rom tune just like the Jim Wolf tune, and they are both about the same in terms of performance. But whatever you do throw that damn afc in the trash where it belongs.
Also what is done to the car to require tuning?
do you really have a SR20 engine, as stated on your car list? Also what is done to the car to require tuning?
Yup sr20det black topricebike wrote:why is the OP avoiding the main question???

SR20 ~ what???
sure, piggyback isn't a real tune, but you'll need to know what's on your engine bay
& goto the engine forums for some help
start with the following and do some research

or just take it to the garage/tuner with a dyno machine
