Can't help you with the key.

Brakes are easy. Buy fluid.Jack up RR end and remove wheel.Slightly open bleeder.Attach 3 dollar bleeder gizmo from Advance Auto (or employ the services of your clear hose wielding Homie) and slowly depress the brake pedal to shoot old jizz out. Do this until the vacating jizz is clean.Tighten bleeder screw and replace the lil' rubber cap that has rolled far far away.Repeat above for LR-RF-LF wheels.

Keep checking the level in the master cylinder. You'll need to continually top off the MC after every 7-10 pumps or so. You don't want that thing so suck air, or your life will tumble into a miserable abyss. Locusts, Pestilence....that sort of thing.

The key is to slowly push out the old, and slowly allow the pedal to return to starting position without sucking old fluid and air back into the caliper. It's not rocket science, but it does require a certain technique.

It can be done without removing the wheels if you have a second elbow and long arms.

Lots of discussion about whether or not you re-jizz the ASkid box while doing this. As far as I am concerned, if clean jizz came out of each bleeder screw, then you've accomplished what you set out to do.... F that box.

There are other ways to do this, the above is just technique. I am not a highly trained mechanic, nor an especially smart guy. I did not stay at a Holiday Inn last night. But I have done this on several old, beat up, crappy, rusting, derelict, non-OEM cars with success...and saved myself some ching in the process. Beer money!

Bleeding the brakes is detailed in the FSM.

Please be more specific in the thread titles you post.

You're going to need a locksmith.

Great post by Oldmako. Follow his instructions on the brake bleed and you won't go wrong. It's not rocket science (see avatar) and the Q is not any different than any other car you've bled the brakes on.

Have you tried pushing the little black button behind the key? That fully releases it. You need to step on the brake to put the car in gear. If you cannot put the car in gear while stepping on the brake you have an interlock issue and the interlock system will need to be inspected. Thankfully there is an interlock button next to the shifter.

Yep. Lots of early 90's/late 80's vehicles have some kind of stupid button to push or push/twist deal going on the key switch. Don;t know how it makes sense to push a button to pull key out, would make more sense to push a button to start since it would keep pesky 7 year-olds from running into garage doors/that new deck the neighbor just finished/a brand-new Audi R8.

Not being able to put it in drive w/o pressing the shift lock button is probably a burnt out brake light fuse. Check your brake lights... if they aren't working at all, check for melted bulb contacts and corroded bulb sockets. Then put a new fuse in.

Good luck!

Heath
