I need help figuring out what's causing my car's rpm to drop and dies. The problem is my car's rpm keeps dropping below 1000rpm to 400rpm and sometimes it dies. This only happen when I'm driving the car in the rain and it's in neurtal, when slowing down for a stop sign or traffic light. If i could get some answers to my problem, it would be great.

First off, which 240 is it?

It sounds similar to the problems that I was having a while back. I replaced my Coolant Temperature Sensor, and that did the trick.

I'd say check the impedence on the Coolant Temp Sensor, if off, replace. They're cheap at Checker or Autozone, hell even at the dealer.

and if you get a chance remove the AIV...it does very little to help the car....i had the problem of stalling whenever i let off the gas...after a pull, stopping, etc...removed the AIV and viola....stalling stopped,

be sure to plug all the lines up or re-route them to each other so you still have vacuum
