NEED HELP WITH MY CA18DET!!!! MAF QUESTION

alright welli got my car out of the shop finally from aerodyne industries...from garden grove, ca they told me that i had to change my fiel pump and fuel filter...and also my maf...i they put a SOHC maf on for me...i read everywhere that a SOHC maf works fine for a CA...but they said it doesnt...and it was true when i got my car it hesitate at 3K RPM...can anyone tell me if the wiring is wrong or is it true that u cant use a SOHC maf with a CA18DET? so right now im looking for a CA18DET maf

They're wrong. the SOHC MAFS works fine. There are multiple members running them. They might have it wired wrong.

I believe that it either may be the ka-e MAFS are dirty or they dont "work" well between 10"in hg to 0. Atleast thats where my car slightly hesitates while cold. It never did that with the CA mafs only with the SOHC mafs. Once warm it runs smooth throughout the rev range. So i think it may throw off the fuel or timing until it gets warmed up, then the ecu tries to +/- fuel to get as close to stoich as possible, which makes the hesitation less obvious, yet still slightly detectable.

thanks...i went on that site and i couldnt find it myself...but this is alot of help...ohk...now i need to know how to wire up a CA maf since its all cut...do i just match the colors?

but what about if i reverse it? same way? cuz i want to put a CA maf now
