I believe that it either may be the ka-e MAFS are dirty or they dont "work" well between 10"in hg to 0. Atleast thats where my car slightly hesitates while cold. It never did that with the CA mafs only with the SOHC mafs. Once warm it runs smooth throughout the rev range. So i think it may throw off the fuel or timing until it gets warmed up, then the ecu tries to +/- fuel to get as close to stoich as possible, which makes the hesitation less obvious, yet still slightly detectable.
