Need help with my 240!!
i just got my first s14. it runs great and it made it back a long 750 mile trip back to my house. now i have acheck engine light. the guy i bought it from told me that he replaced the MAF and he just have not cleared the code out. i dont have a scanner, is there a another way of clearing the code. i was told that you can clear the code by just diconnecting the battery, but i did that and it is still there. another thing is that the idle starts high. like it is suppose to, but it takes a long time for it to settle down to normal. now can it be that it is more than just the MAF? or can it be the O2 sensor? i checked all the hoseclamps to the intake and they are all tight. and lastly, the guy told me that he took out the 10 amp fuse for the air bags. so i replaced it and now instead of just the light staying on, the light blinks. can somone help me out! other than that i have a strong engine. i just wish i had a scanner or i would just run the car on it and find out for myself!

How long did you leave the battery disconnected for? it usually takes 15-30 min. for me I disconnected the batt. and forgot about it until the next morning when I tried to start the car (Im an idiot sometimes but its constituted Im legally insane). When everything was connected together again the car ran beutifully.
