Need help with kouki taillight wiring, pics would help

hello everyone, I tried installing my kouki taillights on my 1990 hatch, but the set up it totaly different and the stock bulbs are too big. Which makes since as they were shipped from japan. I just want to know how everyone else did it and the type of bulbs i need.thanks for the help

so your kouki taillight didn't come with the japanese harness? mine came with it and all i have to do is plug and play except for the reverse lights which i soldered.

the taillights didn't come with anything, so i think i might have to wire them myself. I just want to know if anybody esle has done this

Did you buy a brand new kit, or a used set?If you bought new: cut off the ends of the harnesses/connectors on your expensive brand new lights. Then cut off the same harness connectors off your old stock lights.Solder the old harness connectors to the new lights. All the colors are the same, so just match them up from one end to another.

give me your email and i will send you pics but i know the brake lights are 7443 and 7440 for the turn and reverse

you will need to find (those lights stated above) socket base for them. you will need 4 pair (2 pair for the brake lights and 2 pair for the reverse/turn) then you will have to rewire them.
