Hey you guys. I'm new around here, but i've been searching this forum for days now. Needless to say, I think you all know what you're talking about and you'll be a lot more helpful than if I post on the hardbody forums. I have a 1994 Nissan Hardbody with the KA24E. It is a stick shift but still needs way more power. I want to build up the 2.4L motor and am not interested in an engine swap. So far i've only installed a weapon r cold air intake and I'm looking to purchase an ASP underdrive pulley sometime in the next 2 weeks. What I need from you guys, is information on cams, headwork, etc. I've been talking with Gabe over at hybridka.com and it seems like he's got the best all around cams for the best price. He's willing to sell a GB4 stage 1 cam for $185 shipped. Does anyone here have that cam installed and can tell me a little bit about it? Also, what is the best sized exhaust to run on these engines. I'll be snagging some Doug Thorley headers in the near future so don't worry about that. My other interest is ecu (JWT maybe?) tweaks, or is there a better option (besides stand alones). You guys just tell me, reasonably, what I'll need for more power. I like all motor cars, so please no info on turbo swaps. Thank you so much for your time and help. Feel free to email me if you like at [email protected]

Well I called ASP and it'll be 3-4 weeks for them to custom make me the underdrive pulley, because they don't have them in stock. It'll be $125 + belts. Wenesday night, I went out to work on the truck and see if I could possibly advance the timing a little bit, and went to pull off the plug wire and the distributor cap started crumbling in my hands! Needless to say, after 107,000 miles (i've only had it for 7k) it's time for the original ignition components to get replaced. So I went to the local auto parts store and bought some NGK plugs, wires, a new distributor cap and rotor. I will do the tuneup this weekend along with advancing the timing. The pulley should be here within the month according to ASP. I will let you all know how it goes. Also, I'll be removing the tailgate, spare tire/jack ,and windshield wiper reservoir this weekend as well for weight reduction purposes. I'm still open to ideas for how to make this truck faster. Anybody?

NISMO has the best stuff for SOHC that I have ever seen. Its all available from the dealer and the parts let you maintain your warranty terms. I like this site, but you cant trust that everything is actually NISMO stuff:
