I don't remember where it was but i read a while ago that i think discount had the wrong part number for spark plugs and they were to long. SO if yuou got the art number from the parts store it might be wrong. Also for the timing thing make sure that the rotor is in the right position and not 180 out.

if you are breaking plugs they are too long.

the spark plugs are the correct ones from fsm so if it isnt spark plugs could it be the timing?

if you set up your cams off timing you could bend a valve, but it would not affect the plugs. if your timing is off, the piston will not travel any higher or lower, it can only travel on its set path. you might have gotten plugs for the ka24e sohc engine which are longer than the ones for the twin cam.

if the cam opens the valves while the piston is traveling up, the piston will hit the open valves. give me some more info. did you rebuild motor? etc.
