need help with ka24de, cranks but no start

Well i just purchesd this 93 coupe with 109k miles for 350$, but it doesnt start. It cranks, but no go. I got some money to spend, but before i decide to drop some serious power in it, i just want to see if i can use the ka24de (unless i go with ka24det). I dont really have a lot of knowledge about it, so if there's someone local that can look at it before i get rid of it? There's some oil residue around the valve cover, previous owner said it just stopped running and he bought a new car (but im not sure about that). Any takers on that? I'm in NY (upper westchester) area, if some nissan enthusiast is willing to take a look at it (try to fix it), ill take a shot (ill pay, nothing's free, i know). If not, is there someone that is experienced with sr20det drops in my area??? i need help, i got no garage nor tools, but i got some $$ to spend, if you think u can do it, email me at [email protected] (i prefer people with some nico background, nico family pwns). well im not local, but if u just want to fix your engine in it right now i got a couple ideas.1)check your distributor spark wires and plugs. I had one bad plug on mine, i replaced it and it started right up. 2) it could be your fuel pump. my friends pump went outu can test it by takein the hose of the fuel filter and sprayin a little bit of WD40 or carb cleaner in it. if it starts than your fuel pump is out.
