1. Screw on the adaptor2. Hook up hoses3. Remove Filter4. Poor Oil into Lines (not alot - SR holds 4 qts. tops)5. Mount Filter wherever (it's pressurized, you can mount it anywhere)6. Mail SR Moderators some Rum

LOL

Yeah its a real simple procedure. I did the same but when I put the filter on I unplugged the CAS and cranked it a couple time to prime oil up to the filter.

When you change the filter how do you stop from making a mess since it's in an upright possition? Or would all the oil drain out if you let the car sit for a while?

all the oil drains back into the pan, the littel bit that doesnt wont leak, just flip the filter upright as soon as you get it off and youll be fine.

OK.1. If you mount the filter upside down, You WILL have a big mess when you change oil.2. The oil kit for 75 is same one for half that on summit.com Perma-cool makes it.3. Make sure you put some clamps on the end of those hoses, as they will blow off without them.No oil- Booom.4. difference between puting oil in lines and into valve cover, is that you should prime the oil system before starting up a motor, by turning it over a few times.

Which way is upsidedown? Thread side up or down? I was thinking about aiming the threads up like the 3G eclipse.

so do you people prime the engine every time you change your oil? the filter is open on the top normally, so when you take the filter out some oil drips out of the passages in the engine. and there is oil through out the engine the gravity takes out of the engine when the filter is taken out, the only time you should prime is when first starting up a freshly rebuilt motor... priming it would be messy, and mess is bad... lol

To prevent oil spilling everywhere, on a filter with the thread side down, all you have to do is take a flathead screwdriver (or punch etc) and punch a small hole on the top of the filter. This will release the pressure and the oil will drain down into the pan. Then take the filter off, and BAM..... no mess.

It's easier to change (marginally) and if you punch a hole in the filter before you take it off, it is cleaner too. I always spill oil over the engine mounts and steering rack whenever I change my oil.

well, its not that hard changing it from the location on the block.. its just the fact of having all that **** drip down that and getting it loose without one of the wrenches made for such a job. plus.. if u dont let the motor cool down, those bia's are hot..

It usually takes me about 10 minutes max, to do the whole change. But I always make a mess
