need help with head gasket

hey guys...I took off everything but the intake manifold and the head but I'm havin trouble gettin to the bottom bolts on the intake manifold. Does anyone have any special trick to help me get those? I have a 90 240sx ka24e. any help would be apprecitated.

you cant do it without taking the intake manifold off?

no because I have to take the head off and the intake manifold is attached to the head

no kidding. you see, when the head comes off, the intake manifold will come off with it.

as long as there are no obstructions, just remove the head with the intake still attached.

i take it this is your first head gasket job.

the IM is helpful in getting the head off sometimes, because that head WILL be a ***** to get off because the head gasket is gonna be all hard and caked on.

you can use the intake for leverage in getting the head loose. also, it gives you something to grab when pulling the head off the block.

I didn't even think about that at all lol. Thanks guys. One more thing, how do I adjust the valves on the car, because when I did have it running it seemed like the valves needed adjusting
