stock is 1.1mm you sould go thicker the more boost or higher hp you plan on the engine making.1.2mm is a good all around size. You sould get Greddy,or Tomie.I think Nismo has one too.

personally I'm a big fan of OEM. I like the stockers but others disagree with me

i couldnt agree with you nemore! everything needs its weak point! id much rather blow a hg then blow a motor.

Who is doing your port and polish and valve job? im building my head aswell with the same items you are, and researching places who do good work

i would also go with the stock headgasket size. you don't really get any stronger then steel. as long as you install it right you will be able to handel PLENTY of boost. our motor was designed with performance in mind. when you go with a larger or smaller headgasket then you mess up the compression ratios. if i were you i would stick with the stock size and let the engine do its job.

Get some head studs while you have it apart....then the engine can take more boost......with stock head bolts it prob doesnt take much(prob over 23-25 psi) before the head lifts and that stock HG says see ya

go with stock thickness. theres no need to lower the compression ratio. its alread 8.8:1!!

just go with a cometic gasket theyre affordable and reliable

but why would you do head work? noone does headwork to their SR's and they make great power. **** we made 544rwhp on trogdor and that didnt have any port and polish crap. not many people know how to do that to an import head. sure, you can hog out a domestic head and make power, but if you do something wrong to an import head, you will lose a substantial amount of power. trust me, ive seen it first hand on the dyno.
