My gauge cluster isnt working. The clock works and the lights work thats about it. I think it has something to do when i swapped doors.tach, speedo, fuel,or temp needles dont move. Also does anyone know why when i turn ignition back from start to 1 (acesories)sp?..my car is still running. I think this is whats keeping my battery from staying charged.

Did you check your fuses?Check connections in the back?Try swaping in 1 in from a junk yard? You can take it back at most places.

it sounds like you have a nasty short somewhere...

actually, it sounds like your electrical is messed up something good on a whole.

What kind of stuff have you done to the car?

does your stereo work?does your drivers side mirror adjuster work? how about the driver side window?power locks?

turning hard left and having things start working is, to me, an indicator that something MAJOR is either loose or shorting out (or both)...

if it did indeed start after you replaced the door then that's the area I would start looking for shorts. If all of the door electronics (windows, mirrors, locks, speaker) work then I would move down into the kick panel area... there's a whole f-ton of stuff that can go wrong there though, since all of the interior electronics get routed through the fusebox right there.

well... pull it apart and test it again.

electrical problems are easy to fix (IMO at least) but they're impossible to track down just from a description... in general you need to pull it apart and test everything.

get a multi meter and test the wires coming in from the door, pull the gauge cluster out and test the connections between the cluster and the ECU.

do you have any other electrical problems?
