need help with fuel pump

so i changed my oil, and after i put in new oil i went to start my car and it just cranks but wont start, so i started to see what was wrong, and i figured my fuel pump wasnt priming since i put the key in the II position and i didnt hear that hum, i checked the fuse and it didnt pop so im assuming the connections are good, i dont understand why it wouldnt work after an oil change, and im really stumped, how do you know if your fuel pump took a s*** on itself and is dead? cause it was working fine before the oil change

help please!

the car is 91 240sx btw

Well that sounds rather unlikely. I think there must have been a connector you must have disconnected so recheck all the connections related to the oil change.
