Read the FSM troubleshooting section. It will give you steps to diagnose your problem. Remember search first, post later.

Do you hear the pump priming when you turn the key to ON before trying to get the motor to crank?

Should hear a pump noise for a second or two then it will stop and wait for you to crank it.

Since you pulled the filter off and got no fuel, I'd say it' the fuel pump. That or the fuse for the fuel pump. So do what was said earlier. Get in the car, turn the key to on, and listen for a quiet whining coming from the gas tank. If you don't hear anything, the fuel pump isn't working, needs to be replaced.Just my 2 centes.

OK thats the worst advice ever. Go to the search engine and type in S13 FSM. A link will come up and this is your new best friend if you own a Nissan. Learn how to use this and it will solve most any problem you will ever have. Use the step by step troubleshooting guide. The fuel pump may or may not be your problem. It could be anything from a relay, a fuse, a bad ground, to ultimately your fuel pump. You will never know unless you go through the steps. It may be something as simple as a connector not fullly clipped. Go through these steps first before you waste money on a new fuel pump when that may not be your problem.

so did some research... tested the fuel pump by taking some readings with a multimeter... receiving 12 - 12.5 VDC at the terminal... tried to "hotwire" the fuel pump by connecting a wire straight to the (+) positive side of the battery to the "hot" wire of the fuel pump... still nothin... soooo its the fuel pump... ordered one on rockauto.com and itll be here in 2 days... wish me luck fellas!

so let me guess you jump the relay with a wire with no relay right. if it is then bad idea because if you do that then you might fry your ecu. as for the no spark check the coil and dizzy for power.

This thread is really starting to not make sense. You said you checked the power in the fuel pump plug and got 12 V. How would this happen without the relay in? Then you said you "hot wired" your fuel pump by touching a wire from your battery to the positive terminal on the fuel pump? Did you also run a ground wire from the negative side when you did this? The fuel pump would not work without the ground/negative wire connected. Also jumping your fuel pump at the relay cannot fry your ecu. Jumping the signal wire to the hot wire in your relay could possibly fry your ecu but you would have to be a complete moron to do this because your fuel pump would not work anyway. As for the spark problem try this time using the FSM before ordering a bunch of stuff you dont need. may be just a plug unhooked somewhere

You need a relay, jumping it is not good, if you HAVE to jump it then something is wrong. What have you done so far to check for spark?
