Okay this has been bugging me forever. I have a 97 S14 and I swapped in an S14 sr20det. My problem is matching up the fuel lines. the KA had 3 that ran into the fuel rail. Well the SR20 has 2 fuel lines coming off of it. What am I supposed to do with the 3rd line? Did the KA have 2 return lines or something?

If someone has a pic they can show that would be great. Thanks guys....

Carbon Canister in the driver-side by the bumper. It's for emission. In a very hot day, some of the gas in the tank will change into vapor, that canister sucks it up into your engine.

so are you saying to plug up the first line up to the carbon canister? I never saw a canister near the bumper...or don't remeber one.

All the lines were originally running into the KA fuel rail.

I haven't done a s14 swap but i wouldn't think the carbon canister would be connected to the fuel rail. It would be however connected to the plenum.

The line usedtoown240sx is talking about is the gas tank vent line. It does go to the carbon cannister for the reason he said.

Where is this third line attached to the fuel rail?

Does it have a green cap on it? If it does, then it's the cannister line. It should be labeled.

Just below the fuel filter is where the 3 lines enter the engine bay. I am wondering the same, I also am swapping in an s14 sr into my 96'..

2 lines on the SR, what to do with the 3rd stock that remain.. anyone find anything on this?

No, the canister is on the driver's side directly off to the right of the radiator if you are looking under the hood. I have a '95, however, and my buddy has a '97 and he does not have one. (Not in the same spot anyway).

The canister itself it's in the back by the gas tank. Just the vent hose is up front.
