If the engine siezed then you most likely have a few spun bearings. That may mean the block will have to be line bored to bring the ways back into spec. If you are seeing metal chips in the oil in the head, then the head is probably shot. The cams run directly on the alumium of the head, no oil equals eaten up head. There's no way (that i know of) to add more material there.

Honestly you can probably find another KA to for cheaper than it will take to fix the siezed one. Once ya find one, ya can keep the siezed one tear it down as an experiment if you like. If yer really nutz (like me) you could built it back up (course now ya need to find a head) and boost it.

No way to tell if the pistons are good until you take it apart. You could have em tested for cracks. Lack of oil will most likely cause damage to the bores and rings, but the heat of friction may have damaged the pistons as well.

here's what you should do...

1.) disconect the negative terminal on the battery and pull the engine out and put it on a stand. 2.) begin tearing the engine down and meticulously bag and label EVERYTHING. that will make any rebuild or storage/retrieval of any parts/nuts/bolts/etc. much easier in the future. (this is well worth the extra work)3.) while tearing down, keep on eye on bearings and bearing surfaces. metal shavings are never good - siezure is even worse. something is going to be ugly in there.4.) determine the cause of siezure. what component was riding on a spot where a bearing used to be?5.) replace block, crank, or rods as necessary.6.) order 8.5:1CR forged pistons.7.) order rebuild kit - gaskets, rings, bearings, hoses, belts, chains, etc.8.) order turbo kit9.) begin rebuild - have things honed and machined for higher tolerances10.) figure out you're missing something or something you ordered wasn't quite right.11.) wait 2 weeks for some part that's on the other side of the country12.) put the engine back in the car13.) connect the negative terminal to the battery.14.) break in your engine15.) go dyno/tune your new 400hp ka-t16.) make monthly payments of $200 on your maxed out credit card
