need help with dmv!!

i need help i dont know if anyone can but i figure id do this. im having trouble with getting my car titled and regsistered does anyone know someone that works at a dmv that can title my car. i have my name over another name where mine should be now mv wont accept it and i cant get a hold of the origional owner and im screwed. please help anyone!!

i cant they wont let me. im really not happy about this. i got my car ready to drive and now i cat get plates on it and title it . the original owner i cant reach to get a new title from and the title i have is from him and it has been alttered because im an idiot by signing over his name where mine needed to be . i went to 2 dmv's already hopping one or the other will not see it and title me in nj

ive actually had the same problem before, I actually needed to contact the guy the title was registered under and HE HAD TO BE PRESENT at the dmv!

What it is, the person buys a car from somebody, they put the title in their name, then this person decides NOT TO REGISTER THE CAR, thus getting a new title with HIS OWN name on it and just sell it!

Someone who isnt a dealer this wont work for! you might need a bill of sale or something!
