One of the most common problems for this code is a 90 degree vacuum line that runs from bpt valve to the egr valve, its in tsb's for mitchell and alldata and I replaced quite a few of those while I worked at the dealer. Nissans unlike Hondas usually don't have major egr problems.

I will try that first, seems to be the simplest and cheapest way to start. Can you get that hose ay any autoparts, or is it dealer only? Thanks for the info..........Jason

You'd be best getting it from the dealer, its not expensive, plus it has an almost 90 degree close radius turn in it. If you use regular vacuum hose that isn't formed it may collapse on its self causing the code to be thrown again. If you have some really sturdy silicone hose I'd use that over regular autozone vac. hose.

sounds like the egr valve might be stuck try taking it off and cleaning it with choke cleaner

Thanks for the info!! Do you know the best way to take the EGR valve off ? It looks like there is an exhaust tube or something that goes into it, and I haven't been succesfull even getting a wrench on it. Any suggestions
