I believe it's fairly easy. You can just remove the two finisher screws on the top of the trim that surrounds the instrument cluster. Pull the trim forward, towards you. You will then see four screws around the instrument cluster, you can remove those screws and then pull out the cluster. There are four wiring harnesses plugged into the cluster, one uses a thin ribbon cable, so you want to be very careful when unplugging that harness.
You may have to remove the lower finisher panel to pull out the trim around the cluster. This is the trim under the steering wheel where your dimmer switch and change drawer are.
