Ok heres the scenario. Im driving home from work, cruising at about 85-90 and then I go to get off the highway so I give it more throttle when the throttle feels stuck, I smash the pedal just to get off the road since throttle stuck then cars dash lights all light up and the car slowly dies. I make it to side of the road, and pop the hood, first thing I notice is the coolant is bone dry. It was full, I just had it inspected, and Im anal about the fluids. I get the car towed back home thanks to some friends and I begin tearing the motor apart down to head, since to me I thought it was a blown headgasket, as I was removing the head a few hours later, I noticed one of the bolts to the head was able to come out by hand with no effort. I also noticed that there was an oil coolant mix in the intake and throttle body. Next thing I did was remove the thermostat and begin to fill the water jackets with water, but the water goes out of the oil pan drain plug (its removed). So my I now know its not just a problem with the head being warped, but a problem with the block. My question is this. Are there any engine components that provide a seal to the water jackets? Has anyone else experienced this? Ill be removing the oil pan and timing chain cover this weekend to see if hopefully I can repair the leak. Any help or ideas would be fantastic thank you.

blew a headgasket, warped the head and block. common stuff if you keep it going while it's overheating.

other common source of the two mixing if it's not an hg, is the chain eating through the block to the area behind the thermo that's got the coolant running through it. Either way, get a new block.
