When my headlights are off and I hit the brakes, there is a click, the radio blinks, and the dash lights light up, and the front corners and blinkers come on and stay on as long as I'm on the brake. If I have the headlights on, the brake lights stay on. I've replaced the brake light switch, but thats not the problem. Help! Does anybody know what this might be? 96 240sx SE

Check you brake light bulbs and check any that have been replaced recently. The bulbs are probably shorted inside the filaments and when you tough the brake the current flows though the parking lamps to grd. and when the lights are on the brake lights come on. This has happened to me a couple of times and I kept the bulbs for practical jokes in the shop. You can check which side by removing one at a time and stepping on the brake. Also a common mistake is putting a single element 1156 bulb in a duel element 1157 socket. This shorts the curcuits together.
