I have the 8 speaker bose system for my SE-R and most recently the sound hasn't bee as rich sounding. The rear deck 6x9's only put out low range noises such as BASS actually only base and not that much. I did a hard reset on the amp by unplugging for some time. I then tore apart the backseat and examnined the speaker itself an found no visual damage. Simple Things like the + and - termials on the speakers already checked. I took another speaker and rewired and it sounds the same as the BOSE 6x9's. I have installed 10+ stereos and speakers , amps and such but dont have any idea how to troubleshoot and solve stereo problems. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Hasn't been as rich sounding as what? And as far as I know the Bose system is tuned to use the rear 6x9s as subwoofers, so you should only be getting bass from them.

They seemed to put out more midrange before and bass isnt very strong, Im still getting full sound from the rear door speakers, It just sounds like its faded to the front speakers( yes I have checked the radio fade and messed with that)

You may be right about the rears used as subwoofers, I've never heard or thought of that as a possibility. Nonetheless I can still notice a clear audible difference from before.

Sorry I can't be of more assistance. I've never had much luck with Bose or really been a fan to be honest. I would try maybe checking continuity at the speakers with a multimeter? Sounds like everything is the way it has always been with the settings on your head unit. I wouldn't expect an amp to become damaged and only affect one or two channels. My guess is it could be a wiring problem? The stock wiring in car audio is pretty pitiful.

well 6x9's aren't really good for bass...maybe midbass, that's why you really need a subwoofer. You might get some lower frequencies with the 6x9's...that's why I didn't opt for the Bose system in mine. Waiting for my tax refund so that I can ditch that crappy non-bose system. At least the factory radio has an aux port so that I can hook up my Zune, but not being able to hook up a usb flash drive or at play mp3s on cd is irritating!
