AS SHOWN ON PAGE AT45................in FSM!

Code 2 is something involving speed sensor, the frequency to voltage convertor on rear of speedometer, the voltage distribution circuit that isolates the 0>5 volt signal to the speedometer, PS, CC,ECU, and TCU.

Trace the 0>5.00 volt to TCU.

Any problems with PS stiffness, speedo, what about ECU codes.

Easy to trouble shoot with Consult as you can view 0>5 as it occurs in TCU.

All in all it takes about 5 minutes to TS with Consult to decide whether to swap TCU or some other components.

sorry it took forever for me to respond. but, i do have problems with the speedo. it ll go on and off every now and then. i figured it was just the speedo cable. i dont drive the q as much. for i am still getting through all the maintnence it needs first. but ill be crusing and at some point the needle will climb up to whatever speed i am at then just fall off back to zero.

Lux cars have not used speedometer CABLE for about 35 years!

Common problem on older Q speed sensor intermitent or the frequency [speed sensor] to analog convertor on circuit board on rear of speedometer assemby has failed and needs replacing................bet power steering gets stiffer when needle drops to zero.

Important to spend a few weeks studying FSM and researching complexity of systems.................pretty difficult to trouble shoot when you don't know the specific electronic theory.
