I have searched, but though many of the other threads have similar issues none have all of the issues I am having.

My wife's car a 2003 pathfinder had a check engine light for the MAF sensor 2 months ago ( the car was running fine at the time) my mechanic cleaned it thinking some of the oil from my K&N filter may have got on it.was running fine ever since even getting better gas mileage.

Skip to this week the car has stalled after start twice and then tonight would not start for the longest time, and when finally started ran but there was no throttle response at all.....NO rpm even though the vehicle was running and when put into gear the vehicle would not respond. finally stalled and would not restart.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Like I said some of the MAF syptoms seem identicle but the RPMs not registering and no throttle response whatsoever throws me for a loop.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Still sounds like MAF-related.

Pull the plug, check for good pin contact.

Wiggle MAF plug while idling, see if it smooths out.

Incidentally, our MAF went out 2x in 1 year on our 97 Pathy.

Good luck, and welcome aboard!

Turns out the complete throttle body has to be replaced. $800 plus labor!. Thank god the thing is still under warranty.
