Need help with a noise in my car and oil pressure sign

I accelerated the car when i was driving and my overdrive was on. aFTER that the oil sensor turned on and went to put 3 quarts of oil because it seemed it didnt have any as it sensed me. after that the oil sensor was still red and hasnt gone off and there is a rattleing noise that came after started the car .. if anyone can help me by telling me how to fix this pleaseThanks

Your oil pump is probably dead.

Hopefully your bearings didn't get damaged.

You'll need to replace your oil pump

And could you rephrase that? I'm not understanding that you were saying.You put in 3 quarts and it sensed you???

Sorry about that. I meant that I put 3 quarts after the oil sensor was on. I drove the car about another 25 miles after that and nothing happened to my engine but the sensor wouldn't go off and my engine was ok but still making that noise. I don't know if there's oil pressure but I don't have a gauge and don't really know about mechanics.
