i recently bought a c33 medalist and i am having some problems. when i shift from park into drive i feel a sudden jerk coming from the back of the car, i think?? i am not sure what the problem is, a partner said that it could be the cross, or a bushing by the differential or the rear engine mount... i am preying it isn't the transmission. anyways any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated...another problem is the engine RB20DE in the mourning the car has a hesitation. when i depress the accelerator to a certain point is accelerates normally, however if i press any further, eg for a kickdown the car begins to hesitate, the idle drops and the car sounds like it wants to cut of. is this simply because the car has not warmed up enough or is this a sign of a much larger problem.... help me please...

#1. How old is the transmission fluid? How clean is it?

#2. What do the spark plugs look like? How clean are the tips? Are they white? Possibly gap is off. After the car is warmed up, does it drive ok? How clean is the MAF?

ok cool thanks for the help/ reply..anyways the transmission fluid looks relatively clean, and smells very very slightly burnt, i am gonna change it when i get paid at months end, the plugs might also need changing, planning on putting in a set of NGK Iridiums. i have not the time to check it out as yet... i jus wanted to know how serious the jerking problem was and the cold starting. when the car is warmed up there is no problem with the car engine.. it works and sounds beautifully....:-), i will also check the mounts, thanks alot for the suggestions, laters....

Oh, haha! I was going to ask if you were in Trinidad or Tobago!

I would suggest AGAINST the iridium spark plugs - most people here run standard copper plugs. NGK make good plugs.

NGKs all the way, the meteor-rock plugs are a waste.

oh yeah Trinidad and tobago, is the iridiums gonna cause any problems though, cause i kinda already bought it... an oil type i was thinking a cheap gallon of castrol syntec 5W- 50 for now, or is there a better oil that offers a longer, better protection for the engine?? also if i had to change the transmission fluid can i do that myself of is it complicated an i should go by the mechanic..
