omg, dont pay 1000 bucks. you can get a new axle (a good one mind you) for 86, and 156 for a raxles cv axle. Replacing it yourself is very very easy, take the 2 bolts off the inner side of the control arm, then the 6 bolts connecting the inner side of the cv axle, then take of the snap ring (you have to pry off the hub cap first), and pull the cv axle out.
i got my warn hubs for 160 at amazon a long time ago, or you can spring for mile marker manual hubs, which are cheaper

installing the manual hubs itself would require accessing the hub cap, its a metal cap, pry it off with lots of wd-40 and a screwdriver, or a big channel lock, then removing your old hub after taking off the snap ring, you have a choice to remove the threaded studs for longer ones that come with the warn, but some people have not done that and it was still okay.
to remove them, you counter lock 2 nuts on the threaded bolt than turn the lower one the way you would loosening the bolt and the whole bolt should turn.
Whether or not you use the new bolts, put on the bottom portion of your new hub, put on the snap ring, than tighten the hub onto the bolts, than screw on the cap of the hub. After wards, test out the hubs by locking them, driving around, unlock, and have an assistant tell you if the cv axles are turning when the hubs are unlocked.
remember to wear mechanix gloves or any other glove when doing any of the above your your hands would be cut up like mine was
All in all, the cv axle for me took a day the first time, than afterwards it took me less than an hour. The hubs is the same process, took me an entire day (i had trouble prying off the old hub cap) than the other side took 30 mins. All in all, new axles plus new cv, you should be able to do it in 2 days max, and spend only about 300-400 dollars on quality parts installing it by yourself
