Need help with 89 240SX electric issues.

Hey guys I need some help. I just got an 89 240SX coupe with the HUD. First and foremost I will say that this car has been an electrical nightmare, but thanks to these forums most of the problems have been fixed.

The problem I am having now is two fold. I had to replace a capacitor in the HUD to get it working again but now when I start the car it says I am going 10MPH at idle in neutral (5spd) and it goes up as I give it gas. does anyone have any idea what this could be, because I am a little stumped on this one.

The second problem is that my turn signals stopped working after I reinstalled the "fixed" HUD display. I have checked the fuses and aside from the interior light fuse being blown (which it wasn't before), everything seems good.

*Fixed the problem with the turn lights. I didn't have the hazard lights button plugged in which is why they wouldn't work...... I am an idiot. heh.

Heh yeah, should have tried that before putting it in the post. oh well. Still haven't gotten the problem with the HUD fixed though.

Have u swapped another transmission in it?

To my knowledge, it is the stock 5 spd that came in it. but I am not 100% sure on that since the car has had 2 prior owners.
