Need help with '02 Altima PY020 Radio! PLEASE!!!

Recently with my car off I removed a cd from the player and tried to insert a new one, quickly releazing my error that the player will not accept a cd with no power. When I started the car up a half hour later no sound came out of speakers. All functions of the radio work just with no sound, I can change stations, put a cd in and it will "play", etc. My dealer checked the spark plug and told me it will be $300 just to diagnose the issue. Does anyone have any ideas what would cause this?

Whats your dealer doing checking your spark plugs for an audio issue?

Seems strange that attempting to insert a CD when the power is off would cause this. I'd check your fuses first to see if anything is wrong there.

Sorry, but that has to be one of the funniest things I've heard in quite some time. Dude, talk about trying to milk you!! Like Tyler said, check the fuse. It seems odd that power and all functions would work without sound coming from the speakers. The only thing I can think of, and please don't take offense to my suggestion, but check if the mute button is on?

Either that or check the "Fade". I've seen stranger things happen even though that is a fairly obvious question

Ah!!! I meant fuse not spark plug!!!

No offense taken... is there really a mute button? I've checked the fade, not the issue.
