but what about when u want the footwells still on and the dome lights have turned off?Blackmobile wrote:so i use this in the fuse that control the interior lights so that the footwells should light up with the interior lights together. now i just have to figure out which fuse controls the interior lights...
no i didnt have to take the dash apart. i just popped out that empty slotsjbaltimaproject wrote:the way you have that switch set up, did you have to take the dash off or howd u get that in there cuz i totally forgot there was empty slots for switches in there?
ah, okBlackmobile wrote:i guess it depends how you want the lights to come on. for me, i want mine to come on with the interior lights, i wouldn't have them on any other time. but if you want them on while the rest are off, then a switch would be the way to go
well actually i looked at the way you have your interior set up and thats exactly how i wanted to set mine up but didnt know how to get it in the cupholders. i think i might put some in the back to so i got the lights going all the way through the car. was it very hard to take the center counsel out?srwong wrote:yea i just ran the wires behind it. it's all open so it's not that hard... i had to take my middle console out because i connected my footwell wires to my LED cupholders, i wanted them both to turn on with the same switch.. but if ur just doing footwells u wont need to do that
only at first because i couldnt figure out how to get the shifter out, i have a cvt... but after that was taken out. it was pretty simple... you can onyly get to the cupholder in the middle by taking the center console out... a pain i know, but thats the only way to take out the cupholders....sjbaltimaproject wrote:well actually i looked at the way you have your interior set up and thats exactly how i wanted to set mine up but didnt know how to get it in the cupholders. i think i might put some in the back to so i got the lights going all the way through the car. was it very hard to take the center counsel out?

i bought the same exact part, hooked it into the 10A fuse labeled for the interior which is the 3rd 10A from the left counting the spare, and when the map lights go off, the footwells stay on. anybody have any ideas on how to get them to go out when the map lights go out?Blackmobile wrote:i bought a fuse tap for when i wire up my lights
so i use this in the fuse that control the interior lights so that the footwells should light up with the interior lights together. now i just have to figure out which fuse controls the interior lights...
