So i bought 4 1ft strips of blue leds to put inside the car by the pedals and feet but i dont know how to wire them. idk if i need a switch or if i should can just wire them to the door lights or map lights. im very new at this so if someone could give me some details that would be great.

you could wire them to the doors. that's what i wanted to do. but someone on here said it would be harder. what i did was just wire them to the battery and installed a switch so i could turn them on/off manually....

i bought a fuse tap for when i wire up my lights

so i use this in the fuse that control the interior lights so that the footwells should light up with the interior lights together. now i just have to figure out which fuse controls the interior lights...

i guess it depends how you want the lights to come on. for me, i want mine to come on with the interior lights, i wouldn't have them on any other time. but if you want them on while the rest are off, then a switch would be the way to go

ok. so then when you pop that out how did you do the wiring? can you just feed it through and it comes out of the bottom end by the footwells?

yea i just ran the wires behind it. it's all open so it's not that hard... i had to take my middle console out because i connected my footwell wires to my LED cupholders, i wanted them both to turn on with the same switch.. but if ur just doing footwells u wont need to do that

well actually i looked at the way you have your interior set up and thats exactly how i wanted to set mine up but didnt know how to get it in the cupholders. i think i might put some in the back to so i got the lights going all the way through the car. was it very hard to take the center counsel out?

only at first because i couldnt figure out how to get the shifter out, i have a cvt... but after that was taken out. it was pretty simple... you can onyly get to the cupholder in the middle by taking the center console out... a pain i know, but thats the only way to take out the cupholders....

This is actually a very interesting thread, except i really do not undertand one thing, but that is probably because i never saw these led light.

How do they attach to the sides of the well in the front. Or also in the cup holder, do they have double sided tape, or how does it work,

Also does anyone know where I can buy them online???? and whic ones are good?

i bought the same exact part, hooked it into the 10A fuse labeled for the interior which is the 3rd 10A from the left counting the spare, and when the map lights go off, the footwells stay on. anybody have any ideas on how to get them to go out when the map lights go out?

after reading up on another altima forum, i've found out that the interior light fuse in the fuse box actually controls more than just the lights, and the power doesn't go out until after half an hour. there's a pair of wires in the A pillar that connect to the dome light which can be tapped into to get the footwell lights to come on together with the interior lights. aparently, there's going to be a footwell lighting kit that will be available through racingline's website shortly.
